1. From the "Tools" menu, choose "Options". (Mac users: "Special" menu, choose "Settings")

2. From the "Category" list on the left-side, choose "Sending Mail".

3. Make sure "Allow authentication" is checked as shown below:

4. Click the “OK” button to save any changes.
